Laura Morris

*  A New York City native who, prior to radio, worked in NYC professional theatre as a designer and director Off and Off-Off Broadway
*  Vice President of Administration & Broadcast with the NFL expansion team, Houston Texans, leading efforts to bring the 2004 Super Bowl to Houston
*  Joined KTRH in 1981 as Executive Producer for talk programming and was the Director of News & Programming from 1983 until being named VP/GM in 1988
*  Was a principle architect of the NewsRadio format at KTRH in 1984 and launched Adult standards KBME in 1998
*  1988 to 1999, served as Vice President and General Manager of NewsRadio KTRH and KBME-AM
*  August 2000, becomes Senior Vice President & Market General Manager with Infinity Radio
*  Oversees all aspects of operations for Country 100.3 KILT-FM, Smooth Jazz 95.7 KHJZ-FM The Wave, SportsRadio 610 (KILT-AM), BusinessRadio 650 (KIKK-AM) and the Houston Texans Radio Network
*  In 2004, launched Houston’s newest radio station, Smooth Jazz 95.7 KHJZ-FM The Wave, taking it from 17th to 4th in just 2 Arbitron ratings books
*  Honored as Radio General Manager of the Year when she received the 2004 Houston Star Award from American Women in Radio & Television (AWRT)
*  Recognized as one of the “Most Influential Women in Radio” in the 2003 and again in 2004. 
*  Named to Radio Ink’s list of “Best of Managers in Radio” in the Major Market category in 2003
*  President of the Texas Association of Broadcasters (1999-2000)
*  Chairperson of the Better Business Bureau of Houston (1994-1996) and
*  Currently serves as active Board member of TAB and BBB of Houston
*  Member of the Board of Trustees of the Houston Museum of Natural Science (1988-2002), and chaired the Communications Committee (1994-97) and member of the Executive Committee from 1994-99
