Harold Taft

Harold Taft was affectionately known as the world's greatest weatherman. He was given that nickname by longtime radio personality Bill Mack. He was a fixture on the overnight trucking show and was heard from coast to coast on the 820 clear channel broadcasts.

Harold and the rest of the WBAP/KXAS TV weather staff provided weather forecasts for WBAP 820 radio.

Taft signed on with WBAP-TV (now KXAS) when the station signed on back in 1948. He was a fixture until his death in 1991.
